Sloan Consortium Pillars of Success

The Sloan Consortium (http://www.sloanconsortium.org/ ) is an association of hundreds of colleges, universities, and other organizations committed to quality online teach and learning. UIS has been an active participant in Sloan-C.

Five pillars of success are promoted by the Consortium:

1. Learning Effectiveness
2. Access
3. Faculty Satisfaction
4. Student Satisfaction
5. Institutional Cost Effectiveness

All five of these pillars are necessary for a successful online program.
